- The distillation effect can be observed at any time through a jacketed glass mirror.
- No-load vacuum can be less than 0.001 mbar(<0.1Pa)
Molecular distillation is a special liquid-liquid separation technology, which is different from the traditional distillation by boiling point difference separation principle, but by different substances molecular movement of the average free path difference to achieve separation.
Taking advantage of molecular distillation working principle, our MD system is a high efficient apparatus for distillation of plant oil concentrates.
Our company is now offering turnkey packages for wiped film molecular distillation units, including evaporator, vacuum pump, heaters, chillers and necessary feeding/receiving equipment. The wiped film molecular distillation unit is superior to traditional short path distillation kit by shorter residence time, lower separation temperature, capability of continuous and unattended operation.
Working principle

Application of Molecular Distillation System
Molecular distillation is a distillation process done under high vacuum. The very short distance the vapor travels before condensing ensures minimal to no loss due to surface hold-up of the vapor and is an immediate release from vapor to condenser surface. This distillation process is classified as short path distillation and is also referred to as molecular distillation due to the minimal vapor/liquid interface. The technique and equipment are typically used to purify substances with low volatility and/or temperature sensitivity.
